Hey guys, i have an issue when playing games on my G73.

and this only happens when i play games.

If i move the Laptop/pick it up it gets a BSOD and says its an nvidia driver issue. (windows 7)

doesnt make sense thats its a driver issue when it only happens when i move the laptop. So i am guessing there is a short or something is hitting the gpu when it gets hot and when i move it it hits it..

I can move it around with no issues while i am not in a game.

Does anyone else have this issue?

When the BSOD happens it usually says what caused the fault like nv4_mini.sys or nv4_mini.dll or something. It should be shown in the dump on the screen.

I hate to ask, but have you tried reinstalling the NVIDIA drivers?

And have you tried bluescreenview? I like that more than using the error recovery message that windows provides you with when it restarts back up

Blue screen of death (STOP error) information in dump files.

That is the website with the download link.
You have to scroll down a bit to get to the download, download the zip file, you don't have to extract, just open hit "Run" when your download is done and then open up bluescreenview

Here is the BSOD file I read up on what 0x00000116 does, basically means 'it tried to reset the display driver and recover from a timeout failed'

yeah i tried updating my drivers and still got the issue, I tried running fur mark to see how hot my gpu could get before failing. It got to 85C and my computer restarted. I normally Idle at 63C

dxgkrnl.sys is directX related. You can try reinstalling DX9 pack. Something must have gone wrong.

There are many dxgkrnl.sys related BSODs reported on the web. but you also have a strange issue that it pops-up only when you move the laptop. Lets keep that aside for the time being and try reinstalling the latest DX9 redistributable.
