hi everybody, today i revived an old gateway laptop baterry by replacing the insides of the battery, and i came up with an idea, the G73 battery is 8 cells 5200mAh that means that each cell is 650mAh, so i know that today you can get cells up to 2400-2500 mAh, mi question is, lets say that i change the cells for ones with a bigger capacity, for example, ones with a 1500mAh capacity, that will result on a 12000 mAh total on 8 cells, with the same voltage, at first if nothing goes wrong i will have a long lasting battery, but, since i think this battery is controled by an EPROM could it be that the change of the cells will result in no improvement because of the EPROM's code?

if its like this, i think that the Eprom can be reflashed for the new specs, it just requires someone who knows about that.

if i'm right and not day dreaming we could have a baterry that can be up to 20000mAh (with 2500mAh cells) that will last 3.8 times more than stock one.

since i don't have pretty much knowledge about electronics, this could be a dumb tread, if that is the case, i won't be oposing to the deletion of this thread.
