hey guys, i had to use the recovery dvd that came with my G73jh and after it was finished i went to change my screen resolution and i cant use anything above 1400x1050. everything is slow, i.e., opening and closing windows, minimizing them, scrolling, even alt+tab is ugly and slow. please help. im tired of all the problems this pc is giving me. this one just seems stupid. and if this is a repost im sorry but its 5 am. and im tired as hell :(

Have you tried installing the drivers for your video card. This sounds like a simple case of still using the stock windows vga driver.

Make certain your vbios is up to date and grab the latest ones from AMD's support site. If they do not want to install, install via the device manager.

installed latest bios, tried catalyst, same digitally signed error. tried to driver sweep drivers and uninstall them from device manager and then reboot so windows installs the driver by itself, same error. :(  ... i dont know what to do anymore. i can start from F8 and then start with the digitally signed enforcment off but i have to do it everytime i start up the pc. workaround, not a fix. and it runs in test mode, which im not sure i should be running on every single time. thanks for the ideas so far by the way. but still nothing.

I had the same thing happen and had just spent hours already doing a clean install for the 3 days prior. I tried it all and eventually used system restore to fix it.

the recovery is why it got this in the first place. i did all that ccleaner and driver sweep and now im going to see if the driver installs properly

I actually also had this issue when I recently installed the 12.1 beta driver, after uninstalling the old.
To get around it, download the 11.11c mobility driver. Then you open the Device Manager, open Display Adapters, right click the AMD Adapter, select Uninstall and also mark "Delete driver files...". Now reboot and start the setup of the 11.11c mobility driver. This time it should install fine!

Did you run the Asus driver cd? Maybe it is something to do with the ATK package.

Uninstall anything ATK you have. Disable UAC and install ATK 1.0.0.0014.
