Is it REALLY possible to get 50fps on Crysis? My G73 can't do that even if overclocked.

Currently running CCC 10.6 and getting around 25~30. 1600x900, no AA, All high.

Not on high resolutions (1600x900 or 1920x1080) and (very) high settings.
Perhaps on medium or low settings or much lower resolution...

    Even on 1280x720, I still get 25~30.

I don't know where you thought you could got 50 FPS.

To get 50 FPS in Crysis, you need a desktop computer running a HD5870 or dual HD5870.

This is what you can expect with the HD5870M

Ya the laptop for me ran HL:Lost Coast all highest settings at 59 fps. and for the most part if you can atleast hit 32 FPS on Crysis all high you probably wont notice any chugging. You also have to remember Crysis isnt optimized at all, its just a hardware pig.

Question though, is AA a waste of time, I know what it does but im just wondering do most players not even bother with it?

Depends the player. I can't stand to see riggid edges.

My mistake, but still I can't even get 30fps on 1920x1080.

A 17" Full HD Resolution monitor has less need for AA compared to a 20" 1280x1024 where it was required to get a smooth picture. AA reduces performance so drastically, it is definitely not worth it on a screen wherein it is hardly needed.
