you can use the update.bat file, just edit the contents and replace the filename with the one you want to use.

Ah that works cool thanks i'll give it a try

worked perfect, thank you very much, so far no GSOD's =]

I hate to be a n00b on this, but I wish someone would write up something a little more detailed than what we have right now for doing this. I read up on this, and downloaded a few of the different vBIOS files out there. There's one with a .rom, one with a .bin, and one with a .018 file. I'm not sure what I should be looking for or exactly what to do, and I'm hesitant to give it a go.
Could someone provide some more info? Am I just doing a "atiflash -p 0 -f" FILENAMEHERE ? Does it matter if it's a .rom, .bin, etc? -

Honestly, if I had an important trip coming up, I'd wait until I returned. The vBIOS is just not that important.

You're welcome, and just do it!

I'm so weak... I did it. Seems to work great. Powerplay, HDMI both confirmed to work, and it downclocks to 200/500 when I want it to without a lot of hassle. Didn't see a real gain outside of heat for overclocking for me, so I left it at stock for games, where I was already pretty happy.
Overall this has been a great lappie for me. -
Note to self, do not let aramis109 hold my wallet.
No problems before and no problems afterwards. Glad to hear it worked for you. -
2nd day and can still say no GSOD in any of my games at 800/1100, runs great, i do how ever get a few glitches in battleforge, but no crash, OH and i'm also on 10.5 driver
