My G73 is about 2 months old. I already have the Creative software removed. In the last day, my laptop has been freeze crashing (about 4-5 times now in the last 24 hours).

Yesterday morning at 7:30AM, I got on the laptop fine and did a little bit of online shopping before going to work. When I got home at 5:30PM, the computer was completely shut off. I turn it back on and it asks me how I'd like to start up my computer (due to the crash). I chose normally. I got to the login screen and it froze there, where I was forced to restart. I chose safe mode for the next round and then normally again. At 7PM, I was trying to print something out from a webpage and it froze (the first webpage I printed out was in the process of printing while the second froze and crashed). This morning at 7:15AM, I woke up to my laptop shut off again, AKA it crashed.

I have no idea what's going on but it JUST started happening. If anyone has any input, that would be really great.

Sounds like drivers/windows update. Check your event viewer/ event logs to see what is causing the crashes.

Hey, I remember you from the MLG forums. sorry to hear your having issues.
Are you still using the stock video drivers? (9.12 i think) Upgrading to 10.6 may help.
Also, when it freezes, does it grey screen/look all distorted?
Something could have happened to it when you were gone. Hope this helps.

start by running memtest from memtest.org
then run seatools. if you can get into windows run windows version of seatools.
If both pass then update to the latest bios. Ultimately you may need to reinstall windows. This time when you reinstall windows and have a stable version invest into norton ghost and you will unlikely have to revisit this forum for the same issue. Norton ghost and the like should be a requirement for anyone who frequents this forum and depends on their laptop/desktop
