    Hello,
this issue has still not been resolved so my laptop is just sitting in a corner for the past 2 months and hasn't been used. What a waste of technology!
Any idea on ETA of fix for this? When I called ASUS tech support they just hung up on me when I told them about this so it seems that this company is acting very sketch.
It seems like this is the only site where I can get any actual support.
Any news would be greatly appreciated,
    Thanks

Hm that's unfortunate. I'll see if I can get a seller locally for ~$1500 and take the $150 loss. It imght be possible since peoplare selling the G71 for ~$1500 here.

Check the keyboard debugging thread for a link to an intel inf updated posted by Chastity that she said fixed her missing keystrokes. It sounds promising.

I don't know about promising, as I would like further input before declaring victory.

Well it is good on mine (though it was good since the last reinstall using another intel inf updater). I'll be more definitive once I know which touchpad driver you are using. :)

I suspect the Synaptic driver should be irrelevant.
