Now there's a loose screw inside my machine! It often clogs up either the CPU or GPU side so I'm always overheating. Sometimes the screw goes over to the CPU side and the CPU temps quickly rushes to 100C and shuts down. I either need a replacemnet machine or this screw out...fast since I'm very busy and such a problematic laptop is causing me so much grief.

EDIT: I posted the place I got the laptop from and I just wanted to mention that Gentech staff/support and sales is unparalleled. These kinds of things happen in large factories such as those in ASUS where people are making large amounts of the same product.

I think some guy at Asus when putting the Hard drive caddies in dropped a screw and instead of getting it back got lazy and jst left it here haha

I actually got a direct PM from Ken within 5 minutes of this post so I just wanted to say if you wish to buy Sager/ASUS, definitely buy from him! He fixes problems very promptly and diligently.

OK so my computer just shut down again and when I started it back up GPU/CPU idling at 85 C. Furmark shuts down computer in 4 seconds.

What I've learned is that Asus is a terrible company and that we are not buying from them again.

GentechPC, 6/10/10. At least Gentech support/staff/sales people are very nice and helpful

I would get in touch with them. They're usually very helpful and will probably still be willing to swap the unit out, or at the very least service it for you.

Yeah as I expected it was an ASUS fault. Not sure what they're doing sitting like lame ducks when their flagship model is suffering so many problems :)

Ken is an awesome guy, he offered to set me up an RMA thorugh gentech for elevated speed and support; what a guy! :p

^People talk when they have issues. I've not had any issues with mine. It's not a bad model, it's just Asus is being complacent like other companies.
