Have you been experiencing double clicking or when you press and hold the left click it sometimes gets unpress, I cant explain it. But when I drag items it gets "unhold" then i need to drag it again.

Im not sure if it's covered by your warranty. My logitech g9x has 3years warranty that's why they replaced it.

Have you checked the hole on the bottom of your mouse where you could view the lens? Maybe there are stuff that are hindering the lens from working properly. I've encountered that before wherein I'm dragging folders and then suddenly, the folders were dropped unexpectedly. Later I've checked and found a small hair of my dog sticked on the hole that I've said.

Try using a different/reliable mousepad too preferably the one that is colored black made of some type of cloth, this type of mousepads makes it easier for your mouse to glide.

It's more likely a button issue, Not the sensor.
