First off, thanks to Gary and his team for their excellent work.

Now i wanted to use overdrive so i Dl'd chasity's version of the vbios but in this version the screen flickers when clocks change. So, i then i downloaded hellcry's version and tried the MedOD and well my gpu couldnt handle the lower memory clock and froze when i switched to the battery saving powerplay(though no flicker!)
so i decided to edit their vbios for my self and find clocks at which it doesnt flicker... and the of all the one's i tried only the Asus stock worked.

Here are the clocks which i tried (only mentioning the powerplay battery saving clock coz that's the only one i changed- the clock 03 in RBE)

    chastity - 250/500 - flicker
Hellcry - 300/400 - no flicker but freezing and crashing
    300/500 - flicker
    300/600 - flicker
    asus stock - 300/1000 - no flicker

So can anyone help me? why does it flicker it cant be coz clocks are too low as hellcry's doesnt flicker and that's lower than the one's which do... is it some sort of sweet spot clock you have to find?

the flicker is caused by the downclocking the vram. you don't get flicker with the new vbios because the ram is set at 1000 for all power saving modes in the new vbios. dropping it down to lower than 1000 causes the screen flicker. If you don't like this then don't downclock the vram.

Keep the ram at 1000 and let the powerplay do your job (stay away from custom personal setting from AMD utility) and the system will be fine. And do not open new threads about the same.

On my computer what makes the biggest impact on temps is lowering the memory.
I posted on another thread. If I leave the memory at 1000 and lower only the core, the temps don't drop much. The opposite has immediate results.

We compared and there were guys like me and others where it was the opposite... so worth testing how yours behaves.
