    Hey guys,

A friend of mine who was about to install the new bios did a restart in order to boot from the USB drive. The problem is the machine never came back after the shutdown. Pressing the power button doesn't do anything, no lights on the "power" indicator when i connect the power adapter. It does not turn on when i use the battery to power it up. I tried the reset switch below the laptop but it didn't do anything. I removed the battery and power cable and did the reset, didnt work either. I don't know what else is there to do... It seems like the power supply is dead or something. And this is brand new G73, bestbuy model...

Anything i can do to fix it before we talk to the service guys here? I'm trying to fix this myself because the service guys here in Kuwait suck big time.
    Thanks

Had same problem, somehow the bios update can cause a short in the motherboard. RMA is the only way.

Have you tried to power it with just the power adaptor with the battery out...had to do this myself once after I missed plugging the mic in to the port and shorted it in the usb...
