    Hi,

When on battery my G73 does a hard shut down at 50%. It doesn't go in to hibernate, it just shuts down improperly. It seems like half of the battery cells died or something. Here is some info from HWinfo32:

The battery is 13 months old and it has been in the laptop all the time, using it on only the battery occasionally. My powersaving settings are correct. Is the battery dead?

    Thanks.

First, i would disable all the hibernate/shutdown on critical battery option, fully charge the battery and then let it drain completely in order to re-calibrate it. You seem to have an insane amount of battery wear though.

Is it shutting down, regardless of what setting you use?
