My HDD crashed so I'm Replacing it with a crucial M4 ssd. I'm doing a clean install, but I'm stuck cause it can't find the drive. I'm kinda at a stand still and need some help.

    Thanks

First go into BIOS (F2 after power on) and load defaults, also set the SSD to ACHI mode. GR8 idea doing clean install BTW!

Did you put the SSD in the primary HDD bay or the secondary one?

I put it in the primary, but in the sata configuration my dvd drive is now 1 and my ssd is #4. Could that cause the problem?

What items are listed for #2 and #3? It might be a problem. Change your boot order to make your SSD the first boot device.
