Question - If i simply wanted to get the top palmrest off so i can get to the fans & heatsinks to pull dust out, how far do i need to disassemble?

Do i have to remove the rear cover + LCD or can i simply remove the keyboard then take off palmrest and access it from there?

You will need to remove the lcd to remove the palm rest. There is a video on youtube on how to disassemble.
