Hi all
I recently went through an RMA and got a mainboard replacement.
After having the pc back today, I went into the bios and found that I have bios 212. I tried google "asus g73 jh bios 212" and nothing comes up.
The only difference (compared to 211) that I can tell is it now has an option called "asus easy overclock".
So does anyone know what does this bios fix and what "asus easy overclock" actually does?

Some pics if anyone are still skeptical -
I am on 211 bios and have the easy overclock option too. I thought it was just part of asus "twin turbo" mode.
-
interesting (the number 212)
can you make somehow a copy ?
edit : i have the asus easy overlock and yes that what the twin turbo button does -
....wonder if it makes the OC better.....as in not decrese performance like 211 with twin turbo button pressed
-
i don't think it will make OC better (if i am not wrong it boosts only 100mhz)
that optons is just to turn Twinturbo on or use in normal mode
but maybe the guys with the touchpad problems can try this -
the main asus site has bios 213.
Version 213
Description BIOS 213
Firmware change
File Size 1.29 (MBytes) 2011/02/24 update
isnt it better than 212? -
I was hoping that easy overclock would be sth better than the twin turbo but oh well...
-
just press the button and you have it overclocked -
Probably Asus want a less cryptic name for the OC feature... but 212???

212 must have been something internal. And the Easy Overclock is TwinTurbo. Nothing exciting here. No need for it too, since 213 is out.
