Going to be repasting my G73 soon, but i've been contemplating getting some copper shims and sandwiching them in for extra cooling. Has anyone done this to their G73? Would there be space for a 1mm shim (with paste on either side) under all of the heatsinks?

I can get longer screws if that's an issue, but i'm just wondering if there'll be physically enough space inside the chassis to fit them. Is a decrease in airflow worth an increase in thermal conductivity?

    Between DIE and heatsink?
Forget about it. Believe me. :)
