I have the sticky mouse problem like so many of you do in that the mouse has eaten some really dodgy cheese and keeps staggering about the place tripping and has to keep stopping every five seconds to catch its breathe.

I refuse to accept that this is a problem that will destroy the love I have for my G73 because its a very small price to pay for such a great laptop, however the touchpad is vital for me as I hate using an external mouse.

I just wanted to know if anyone has got to the point that the mouse has actually given up the go and eaten too much of the dodgy cheese and popped its clogs? I only ask because I have a brand new razer copperhead in its box that I could grab an easy £40 for but im worried I will sell it then the touchpad will die.

I only seem to suffer once or twice every few days and a reset sorts me out every time, no drivers have stopped it from happening so i just accept it.

So what you're saying is, you're afraid of selling your dying G73 mouse (why are u selling a defective mouse to another person?), and your touchpad crapping out when you're waiting for your Razer? I'm lost. Also, ASUS should be able to RMA just your mouse.

No mate I didnt mention selling the laptop it at all.

Just that if I sell the Razor I wont be able to use the laptop if the touchpad dies. Just wondered if this is just a driver problem or hardware. I dont have a warranty left on it so do not have the option of RMAing. It just appears to happen when the GPU heats up and then goes away once its warm.

Touchpad going crazy... definitely seen that before... isn't there a BIOS fix or something here for it? Anyways , my touchpad also goes mad sometimes but gets ok in a few seconds... anyways , i strongly suggest u get an external mouse... G73's touchpad isn't that good.

I find that when my touchpad gets weird all I have to do is give it a quick wipe with my microfiber cloth and it is all good. It seems to be very sensitive to dust or something.

Its 213 or something. I have 211 i think. I can't be bothered flashing it. Not sure on how to do it and seems a high chance of bricking laptop. If you're sure you can do it , go ahead. I don't use my touchpad often. Using my mouse 99% of the time anyways.

This is the thing though isn't it I have to ask myself the question can I live without my laptop? NO. Can I live with a annoying mouse? YES.

The fact my JH has no warranty and that flash drives are flimsy along with im not confident in flashing its too much of a gamble.

The latest Vbios was the only thing that was a must with the JH and that was worth it.

you can flash it but i would read up as much as you could and would buy a completely new flash drive if you wanted to do it.. Anything of around 128MB or 256MB is enough.
