I just repasted my g73jh yesterday, temps dropped about 20c for idle and peak... I however cannot manage to get AMD Overdrive to work for the life of me.

I have Chastity's VBIOS installed and the latest catalyst installed, still with no luck... it still fails to load.

I noticed a few others on the forum with the issue. But they all managed to fix it by installing Chastity's VBIOS, mine hasn't. :\

When you say fails to load, do you mean you do not have the option in CCC to turn it on?
Are you using the second VBIOS from here http://pcaudio.ath.cx/
called Modded v93 vBIOS with lower timings for battery ....
The name of the file is fix_od2.rom
If you still have the file you used (the one that ends in .rom)
open it with this tool (RBE) within windows to look at the settings
    RBE - Radeon BIOS editor
Then click additional features - method 2 should be on and the settings are 875 and 1300, if this is not the case, you may have to reflash the VBIOS .

If all is good with the VBIOS, you may need to reinstall CCC and the display driver. Are you on version 11.5 now?

Remember you have to 'unlock' the OC feature first before you can tick the 'enable box' in CCC.
To unlock it you have to click on the wee padlock button first (see screenie)

I have the VBIOS Chastity released first. I'm at work right now so I don't know the version number. But it's the one that posted on the sticky thread over at the RoG forums. I had to boot from a Win98 USB drive and run "updateod.bat". Said it installed correctly.

    I then rebooted my laptop.

I Updated my Catalyst to the most recent official release 11.5 x64 ocl.

Installed the most recent release of AMD Overdrive, installed.

When I run the AMD Overdrive, it prompts with the warning about this possibly causing dmg, blah blah blah, I click accept. Then it says that the program is initializing, then it says that it "Fails to Load" or something to that nature, can't recall exactly. I'll check when I get back from work.
