Regardless of what I'm doing usually once/day, my wireless USB mouse(logitech m305) will completely lock up and am confined to using the touchpad until I reboot. I have tried plugging in a different USB mouse with no success, and it seems the USB ports completely fail at this time, although I have yet to test them with another type of device.

I have all up to date BIOS,vBIOS, drivers, and everything from the great fixes from the forum.

    Thanks for any thoughts.

I have noticed the same exact problems. Maybe not quite as often tho. I think its related to sleep mode on the notebook. I put this thing to always ON and it still goes to sleep. Every once in a while i have to hard power down, remove all USB connections, boot and reinstall the usb mouse drivers.

The mouse is the only thing that does this. I used a Logitech wireless mouse. Have since started using a corded Microsoft mouse and it hasnt happened yet. Sounds like yours does this all the time. That would get really annoying. Good luck!

Just wanted to bump this, because after 18 hours of having my new G73jh, i am having this issue also.

Lights on my mouse will remain turned on, but cursor will not move. If i disconnect the mouse and plug it in elsewhere, the lights turn on for a second, but Windows does not recognize a new device, nor does it install the drivers.

During this time, my external USB HDD also stops working, if i try to access the drive when the USB ports shut down, explorer.exe just stops responding.

Only fix seems to be a reboot.

My USB wireless mouse stops working when I go into sleep mode and wake up, but If i replug it it starts working again. I would try installing the latest Intel Chipset Drivers with -overall command and see if that fixes the issue.

I'm having similar issues. I have a flash drive the works only when plugged into the USB ports on the left side. When I plug it to any of the USB ports on the right side, its not detected.

Weird, I only experience "cannot find driver" issue if I plug something that requires driver into a USB port I've never used it in before. Doesn't happen with stuff like Thumdrive or Mice which works on generic drivers. Did you try updating Intel Chipset driver with -overall?

I have the exact same thing.

I've tried with three different mouses, and both the supplied Razer mouse and the Logitech mouse I bought does the same thing.

I don't want to send it in until summer at least though, so I've decided to treat the symptom by buying this handy mouse: Buy Razer Orochi Wireless Bluetooth Gaming Mouse | Official Razer? Store

I like to have it plugged in, and if it fails (though for the 3 days I've had it though, it hasn't), I'll just unplug the USB chord and use it as a Bluetooth mouse.

    1) Right-click on the "Command Prompt" icon and choose "Run as administrator" from the pop-up menu.

    2) CD to the directory where you have saved the Intel Chipset driver executable, infinst_autol.exe.

    3) In the Command Window type infinst_autol -overall
    and press enter.

    4) Allow the installer to do it's thing.

    5) Restart Windows.
