Hey all, It's been a while since I last posted. Last time I was on here I attempted to do a 8970m upgrade but ended up failing. So a few weeks after that my laptop started BSOD. Short time after that, I was getting random restarts. Soon after that, system would boot to desktop and then instant black screen, frozen. I thought maybe I damaged the video card when I removed the heatsink. Left it apart for months. Recently attempted to diagnose it, I manage to remove the drivers. Systems boot up fine. As soon as I try to install drivers, BLACK SCREEN. Normally means a bad video card. I loaded Windows 7 and it Did the same thing. While on the fresh install of 7, I installed a very old driver from like 2015, system worked fine. I went ahead and plugged in my SSD that has Windows 10, the last driver I had on there was from 2016 June. So I'm looking to install AMD drivers from like Early 2016. I can't seem to find the old 7970m drivers from that time.

Can someone lend a hand and see if they can help me find Early 2016 drivers for a 7970m Windows 10 64 bit?

    Update

I installed a June driver, 16.6.1, same thing. This time though, it installed, recognizes the 7970m, but soon after it restarts, black screen.

Maybe my 7970m is defective. I could try a different motherboard but I doubt that will make a difference.
