I recently bought a G73JH and installed the 11.11 catalyst drivers, which seemed to work fine. One thing I noticed was that my GPU was called ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5800 Series, instead of the specific model. But I didn't mind, since all my games ran fine without any issues.

The problem is that recently I decided to try overclocking, and downloaded the AMD GPU Clock tool. But when I ran it, it said no valid devices found.

So now I assume that the 11.11 drivers aren't recognizing my GPU. Does anyone else have this problem?

It is normal to get 5800 series in the description and your driver installed properly or you would have gotten an error message after installing it saying driver installation failed.

WarWyrm is right, you do need a specific version of the GPU clock tool, the one he linked. Alternatively, Sapphire Trixx and MSI afterburner also works of the overdrive function in CCC.
