So I still have that problem of BC2 freezing and the audio looping. I have been using a headset for the past few months, so this was not an issue. I just purchased a new television set, and now, when I use HDMI cord, the freeze/loop will happen.
I tried playing with RealTek driver uninstalled and it worked fine. Problem is, without that driver, my audio is horrible. It's really quite, and it appears the subwoofer is not compatible with the regular speakers. That is, I cannot play both devices at the same time.
So I was searching around and couldn't find much. I came upon SoundMax, but so far the drivers I tested didn't work/weren't compatible.
Are there other drivers that work with the g73jh? How did you solve your freezing/looping? I went to the BC2 site, and there are HUGE threads that didn't really help me.
Thanks in advance for whatever you may help with.![]()

I have used HDMI without issues but not tried BC2 specifically. I would use the drivers off the Asus support section made for the G73.
See if you have some options in BC2 to change audio (things like Stereo instead of surround, or software rendered instead of hardware, things like that) -
Did you try using the drivers on the realtek site?
Have you ever experienced frame drops when on HDMI? -
Ok so instead of starting my own thread im gonna highjack this one a bit, I had a quick question. K so T2 blu ray is in and displays perfect when hooked up to my big screen , and also makes 5.1 properly though powerdvd9 and plays nice with my optical audio surround sound, but when I play HL the lost coast just to see if it will do surround sound, all I get is stereo. When I switch it in the game to 5.1 and save settings it auto switches back to 2 channel stereo. Is this an audio driver problem or is this a game problem?

Dark nerd- try the ASUS drivers on the site, but also try the ATI HDMI driver on the Realtek site (yeah, I know, sounds weird but it fixed my lossless issue).
Daranik- I would guess that the game isn't able to detect your setup via optical- make sure you have the right one enabled when you go into the device properties. -

I would try setting the HDMI-Out as default audio setting. That's what the games will use and config for. So if it's on Speakers, you'll only get a Stereo option.

When I plug it into my television, it appears to be using "ATI HDMI Output." This still causes the freeze/looping though.
Are there really no other drivers to be used for the g73jh? Old and new RealTek drivers have this issue.
Has anyone been able to solve the BC2 freeze/looping?
