I was trying to get into my BIOS earlier to remove my boot password, and after entering the password and pressing F2, F4, ESC, F10, and every other button that should open the BIOS, the screen stayed black with the flashing cursor at the top-left corner of the screen. When pressing the arrow keys, the top of the screen would flash blue as if it was in the BIOS, but not displaying properly. To test this theory, I pressed F10 to exit, and pressed enter, and the laptop rebooted... If anyone has any ideas as to why the BIOS would not be displaying properly, I would greatly appreciate them.

you should reflash the bios ,
make a bootable flash drive , il give all the files needed for it.
so your laptop will be fixed,
its just a bios rom issue,
with a correct flash you can recover it.
    thanks

I haven't flashed the BIOS since I bought the laptop back in October. It's a factory refurb as well. I'm on hold with ASUS right now to see if there's anything they can do to help, but from what I've read, I'm not holding my breath. I don't know how to flash my bios or anything, and since I can't get into my BIOS I can't tell what version I'm currently on.

Before a reflash, can you hook up an external monitor and test? Same issue on the external?
