I sent my laptop in for rma, I had BIOS 206 (whatever the original one for the A2 is) and it came back with 211, but the fan is much louder at idle (downclocked to 100/150).
Did anyone else notice this? (I'll just flash down if that's the case, or is there a way to control the fans?)

On ASUS' website, it states that the latest BIOS update, 211, changes the threshold for the VGA fan settings, so that is probably why. You might want to try dusting out the fan (if ASUS didn't already do that) and see if that helps at all.

do you have energy profiles witch allow the energysaveing mode?

I have it downclocked to 100/150 manually and it was much quieter before the update. It's doing 0->30->0->30. Before it was like 0->15->0->15 and wasn't really audible.

IMO, the fan are barely louder than 206 and, if they extend the life of my laptop components, the increase is welcome. An important different is my laptop is less hotter in intense gaming since 209. Can be the v93 plus 209+ BIOS combo.

How to make the most of your G73JH battery (2:30-2:40 runtime)
Whenever I run medium setting it crashes my cpu
However High and Low works.
Also what is the original setting?

I dont check these forums -
The 30% does not change because its wrong. Go by the RPM on the JH not the %.
I noticed 211 being a lot louder too. Clean out the fans and consider a repaste if it annoys. Mine kicks in at 81oC but I never see that temp anymore
G73JH BIOS update and increased GPU fan noise?
