    Hey there,
got my G73JH 207V (I think it's the european equivalent to one of the B series) tuesday.
I dont have any of the (in)famous errors that are marked sticky here but another really annoying one.

Every time I try to logon my standard user I get a BSOD a few seconds later. (Either System Service Exception, Bad Pool Header or sometimes no info at all)
My admin profile still works (I strictly seperate user and admin) and so does safe mode.

I created a new user but that solution isnt really satisfying as I have to reoptimize my settings again and again.

I have no idea what caused this and how to fix it :(

You can't create a new user, configure it once, then delete the bad user? :)

I would first look in the event viewer logs for any errors/warnings that may lead to the offender.

If there's nothing in the logs, then I'd try a minimal boot...

Remove everything from the bad user's "Startup" folder (copy to a temporary folder). Then run (Win-R keys) "msconfig", and set as follows:

    1) On the "Services" tab, click the "Hide all Microsoft services" checkbox then disable all services still showing in the list of services.
    2) On the "Startup" tab, disable everything.
    3) CLick the Apply and/or Ok button

Reboot and logon...if the problem's gone, use msconfig to incrementally add the disabled services and/or startup items until the problem occurs again.

Deleting the bad user would also deleting all my settings which is pretty annoying imo.

But, well, I fixed it already. I let it crash a few times so I can check all bluescreen messages and dedected the source of trouble: ASUS data security manager.
The pre-installed programs dont like modifications. Mess with one, mess them all.
Redownloading ASDSM and reinstalling it fixed it for me.

Why in god's name do they pack so much unneeded programs on your system by default?
