There is none. You have to send it in for repair at some repair center.

Sometimes there is a risk to bios flash. But I have suspicion you may have received an error and didn't read carefully and your forced flashed anyways. I have seen errors from the bios where it's says some details are missing, when I didn't extract immediately and save to my C: or external drive.

Well there you go. Never ever force flash a bios.

I believe there is a company in New York that claims that can repair a bios on G73. But you have to pay for the repair and the shipping, so it's very expensive, a ripoff considering your notebook has warranty.

Best solution would be to find someone in the US whom you can send your notebook to and have it RMA there to Freemont, CA.

Who did you buy your notebook from? Who was the reseller? Contact them.

If you cannot do any of the above you'll just have to order a new motherboard and install it yourself.

The bios chip is soldered on the board, you can't replace it. Ask your friends where they bought it in New York? Really your only solution is to send it in for repair. You'll have to figure out how to do that.

Since it's bought in the US you do have global 2 year warranty and 1 year accidental. So find anywhere close to where you live or know anyone there to get it done.

Try calling the US offices and ask to RMA. Tell them you bought the notebook in the US and you have receipt or proof of that. They won't pay for your shipping from BR to US though, but say you are willing to pay for the shipping. Using Asus FedEx account to pay for your shipping will be a lot cheaper than trying to ship it on your own since they have discounts with FedEx. I have requested overnight shipping from Asus in the past and only had to pay $20 which is amazingly cheap for a notebook.

I am not sure if that will wok, but it's worth a try.

looks like your closest service center is the USA. You can RMA it through them without issue.

Bummer. I bricked mine once as well, so I know the pain (however, I live in California (pretty close to Brazil, right? :)) And I'm in the same state as the good Asus repair facility).

I wish there was a documented magic button/key combo that allowed us to fix this ourselves.

If you need a contact here in the US I'll help if I can. I won't pay for shipping to/from Brazil though!

Depends on if they have the part. If they have your motherboard in stock, a week. If they don't, up to 3 weeks. There is nothing they can do but wait for your part to be ordered and shipped from TW. Anyone who complains over this is a moron. That's where the parts are manufacturered, so there is absolutely nothing that can be done about that.

So if you rma a bricked g73, they will replace the mobo? Huh. I thought they will flash or just reset the mobo.

I wish they will release something like the vbios brick solution. :( That will even save them money on receiving g73's for rma.

I think having a dual-bios option would have saved a lot of headaches.
