Is it a bad sign when the fan speed turns very loud when gaming? (I only notice games that has high graphic setting would make the fan speed very loud). Or is it normal?

What are your temps under gaming for both CPU and GPU?

GPU 80-86C when gaming and 90c+ when it loads some heavy graphic and that is when the fan gets loud.

Time to clean your vents or if that does not help you need to get it repasted. It should idle around 50-55c. First fan trip point is at 73c the fan speed up ....at your temp the fans should be at 100%(90c).

Before the swap to 6970m the fans would only speed up for a moment and then go down. My high temps never got over 80c so 90c on your machine is starting to overheat.

Also, make sure there is at least a foot of space between the back of your vents and any wall or other obstruction to allow adequate heat dispersal in the back. I recently moved my laptop a little too close to the wall and noticed after gaming that not only was the wall stovetop hot, but my max temps had risen about 7 C. After moving further away from the wall temps were back to normal again.

I took a like at the videos for repaste and they look pretty complicated for me to do. Does anyone know any service place does repaste in Vancouver or Coquitam B.C.?
