Recently my ATI card has been burning up. I have 16GB of DDR3 GSkill RAM 10666 1333. I noticed once I installed the RAM stick located on the keyboard the GPU has been overheating within 5 minutes of playing a game. I have reinstalled the ATI Driver and software completely, no success. I have NOT messed around with the terminal paste since that would void my warranty I have with bestbuy.. I am going to take it to geek squad later today and see if they can run their tests and conclude on getting a new laptop... any suggestions would be great.

Answering these questions will help us diagnose your problem
What are you HWinfo temps?
What does running furmark do to your laptop? How long does it run/how hot does it get before shutting down?
Did you have problems before upgrading your memory? ( This should not be related to overheating, it is probably just coincidence that you upgraded and then started overheating, my guess is you were close to overheating before upgrading.)
Assuming overheating is problem (the laptop auto-shuts down at 114C), then geek squad will RMA your laptop to Asus and have it repasted, that should fix the problem. How long ago did you purchase the laptop? You could argue for a new one, but they will probably push to repair the current one. RMAs take 2-6 weeks on average, many people have horror stories of RMAs lasting several months and requiring multiple trips back to be fixed.
If overheating IS the problem, you may want to read this thread about re-pasting or watch this video to see if you can do it yourself, then you won't have to wait a month for someone else to do it for you. It will only void your warranty if you break something, only you know how handy your are with a screwdriver, so you'll have to decide for yourself if you can do it. -

Yea i re-pasted both the GPU & CPU with mx3 and it runs a lot cooler now. I also cleaned the vents and made sure they were clean. I wish there was an easier way of cleaning the fans from dust but I guess this design requires you to take the motherboard out lol. Thanks for the input!
And my CPU idle is now 48C and GPU is around there too
