    Hi all

I'm really satisfied with this beast, already updated the bios to 211,vbios to Chastity moded (thx!) , CCC 10.10 and everything is perfect, except this little problem that I didn't figured out yet.
I'm using the G73 hooked up on my Panasonic plasma 42 FullHD with HDMI, but some games, didn't fill the entire screen no matter what resolution i choose, the first time I plugged it in i have this issue with desktop settings but Searching in CCC I found the scaling option and set Overscan 0% then it solved the problem for desktop, but some games still have this issue, didn't realize why because COD BO, MOH 2010, HL2 works great with all the screen filled up, but Silent hill homecoming, ghost-busters, NFS World didn't work with all the screen filled up.
Can someone help me with this one?
    Thx :D

Open up CCC and adjust the Overscan options in the screen properties for the HDMI Out.

I have the exact same problem, but for about 2 weeks now I cant adjust Overscan because CCC won't open. I tried at least 10 different versions of CCC, doing full uninstalations (driver sweeper and what-not), I tried everything I found on the forums, but absolutely nothing worked.

Check the zoom option in the CCC you can adjust the HDMI out there.

same problem, I fixed it by changing the screen resolution to 1080p instead of 1080i. that filled the whole screen. instead of having about an inch cut on each side.

    1) Uninstall all ATI, reboot

    2) http://pcaudio.org/stuff/ATI Crap Cleaner.bat download this and run

    3) Install Catalyst driver package, but only do a custom install and DRIVER ONLY.

    4) Reboot, and then install CCC from the CCC Installer Only package.

Pff, I got my hopes up, but still nothing. I tried with 4 different versions of CCC and I get exactly the same result.

Four Versions? In most cases you should be using the one that matches the driver you're using. Get the full 10.11 package here.

Starting with 10.10, the CCC scaling options for HDMI-attached displays stick nicely so you don't have to reset the settings.

    Already did it, doesn't work

    It's already in 1080p

Didn't find that option on CCC

Probably not the issue here, but my buddy who was using an external HDMI monitor, had to set the Pixel Format to Full in order to get the picture to use the entire monitor.

Find it in CCC something like this:
Open CCC, Select display, at the bottom right click your HDMI connected Display, goto Properties.

    @MetalAngel:

Probably a stupid question, but for the games in question, do you get black bars on the G73's display as well (use Fn-F8 to turn both displays on simultaneously...they should look identical).

No! it fit's perfectly on G73 screen.

EDIT:Just figured out what's happening, it's something related with refresh rate that was set to 30Hz in this games. Only Silent hill Homecoming still the same even set to 60Hz, but the game is locked to 30fps, then i think there must be something related...
Anyway Thanks for the help :p

This is how I did it.

On Advanced Mode, go to Desktops and Displays, you should have both your Monitor and your external display, Right Click the external display on the bottom (the little one, not the one on top where you arrange the extended desktop). Select Configure, Scaling Options...

    Hope that helps.
