Hi everyone,
Its been a while since I've been on these forums; everything has been going well with my G73JH until recently. One day I connected my HDMI to my TV (32" Dynex 720p) and my laptop screen when blank and the TV did not detect any input. It worked fine the day before and I haven't changed the video drivers in a while. I think the laptop (after the screen went blank) froze because it would not respond to any keys or usb plugins. The only way to get my laptop back to normal was to hard reset (hold down power button until it turns off). The weird thing is, my G73JH works with my roommate's 19" Sanyo LCD via HDMI and his laptop HDMI out works with my TV (using the same HDMI cable and port). I'm guessing it must be a conflict between the TV settings and the OS settings. But it still doesn't make sense how it would happen all of a sudden without altering the drivers. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
OS: Win 7 Home
Catalyst: 11.2
BIOS: 211
vBIOS: Chastity's vBIOS (012.020.000.032.0383.G730 )

Hmm have you tried it again? Hit windows key+p and and hit projector only. That works for me all the time. If not re install those drivers after deleting them completely.

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately Win+P does not do anything for me.
I forgot to mention two things:
HDMI out works fine when the G73JH is booting up, but as soon as the log in screen appears the laptop and TV screen goes blank. (And I am forced to restart the laptop).
VGA out on the laptop and same TV works all the time.
And yes I've tried 4 different HDMI cables with the same TV (tried different HDMI ports too) with no luck. -
You might need to update the firmware for the tv or make sure the cables are hdmi 1.4. I had the same problem.

EDIT: Oh and xxERIKxx, did you ever fix your issue? I'm pretty sure the exact same thing is happening to my laptop except my HDMI does not work in safe mode (it works in BIOS however). -
Yeah I fixed my issue by using a new HDMI cable that was hdmi 1.4. I think it had to do with one of the drivers for the gpu making the hdmi work with only with 1.4 cables. Also try the firmware update for your tv.
