This is so weird. Since my last 2 formats, everytime i close the lid and leave for a an hour or 2, everytime i come back, my computer is in hybernation. If i leave the lid open, it will stay open but when i close it, it hybernates. I've checked all my power schemes, nothing. Everything is normal, nothing is set to turn off after an hour or more, i cant seem to isolate the reason why it goes into hybernation...any of you guys have problems?

I'm experiencing the same issue. Thinking it might be an issue with Power4Gear, but not sure...

This used to happen to me...heres the solution:
-Right click battery/power icon on taskbar Choose 'Power Options'
-Look at your current power plan (ex. Balanced), and click 'Change Plan settings' on the right
-Now click on 'Change advanced power settings' in the bottom
-Scroll down a bit and expand 'Sleep'
-Expand 'Hibernate After'
-Choose 'on battery' or 'plugged in' or do the next step for both
-adjust from there. IF you dont want it to ever hibernate just set it to '0' and it will default as 'Never' -
Guys please, if youre trying to help me, read my thread, i said my power scheme are well configured and the computer is not set to sleep or hibernate after a certian action or time limit...next solution please
-
-Run cmd as administrator
-type "powercfg -h off"
-close lid
-come back 2hours later
-check to see if it still hibernates
If it does, I'd say you have some kind of virus that forces hibernation even though you've turned it completely off;o -
the thing is i dont want to disable hibernation because i use it every night, i would put it to sleep but the damn blue neon illuminates my entire room as it flashes in sleep mode and im sensitive to light.

Well, just as a test, I left my unit running all night, playing music from WMP, with the lid closed, and I woke up, and she was still playing music, with P4GH High Performance active.
Getting back to the item at hand, for testing purposes, uninstall Power4Gear Hybrid, and when you reboot, go into Windows Power Settings, and reset all the power plans to Default Settings. Reboot, then make your button and lid options the way you like them. Use it this way for awhile and see if she continues to do bad things.
If she does, then check your Power button, and blow it out with compressed air if need be. If the unit is detecting activity from the button due to dirty contacts, then that may trigger your hibernates, IF the power button is setup to hibernate. -
it seems as if most of my recent hibernation and BSOD are related to Power4Gear, don't know why but as soon as i switched to Windows High Performance scheme most of my recent problems dissapeared, and i've been running it for about a week now so i can pretty much confirm this, when i was on P4G scheme, i had hibernation and BSOD problems (many times a day) after my computer was on idle for an hour or more and for the past week, my laptop hasnt had a single idle problem

Choose what closing the lid does?
-
no action for all schemes
-
If you do not like P4GH so much, just uninstall it and be done with it. All I can add is that I use P4GH .42 and I do have the experiences you do.

well i've never said i dont like it, but if it causes more problem then i wont use it. I dont have to unistall it because i want twin turbo but just switching to stock power scheme solved all my problems
G73JH Hibernates even if I dont ask it to
