    Anyone else out there running 4gb dimms? I know that xotic pc equips the g73 with these stock, but I'm running into some strange (non-breaking) issues.

    To begin, all configurations work and pass all iterations of memtest86+ at stock fsb:

    2x 4gb PC3-10666 in dual channel = Very intolerant to fsb overclock; just enabling twin turbo will bsod after a couple tasks;
    4x 4gb PC3-10666 in dual channel = Same results;

    1x 4gb PC3-10666 in single channel = Twin turbo oc is stable; can oc even more;

    2x 2gb PC3-10666 in dual channel = Can oc fsb like crazy;
    4x 2gb PC3-10666 in dual channel = Same results;

    I haven't tried running PC3-8500 4gb dimms.

    When testing the 4gb PC3-10666 dimms, I tried a couple different brands with the same results.

    Can anyone out there chime in with results? I have a gut feeling that the memory controller is being overtaxed, but I wonder if xoticpc machines (or any of yall) have gotten around this somehow.

    Take a look at this. xfinrodx seems to have found a better way of overclocking... maybe he can help you.
