Hi guys new here be nice. I see there is a faq section which addresses most issues relating to the lights but none seem to answer my query. To cut a long story short when upgrading the ram i was a lttle heavy handed removing keyboard and had to buy a replacement. Trouble is that in my eagerness to get the laptop apart for the ram up grade I seem to have forgotten which way the ribbon cable for the LED's fits is it flappy tab up or tab down? The wide data ribbon is tab down but the led power ribbon just seems too hard to fit with the flappy tab down.

    Thanks from

    Domthepom

Its with the tab facing down. The 4 small pins at the edge of that small ribbon should face upwards while putting it in.

Make sure that black fastening tab is pulled out of that white connection point, before securing it back in. Be even more careful with that tab area I broke mine loosing balance off my chair lol. Now I need a new keyboard but I can live without lights.

Glad to be of help mate, unfortunately my keyboard if I have to buy new one its only available on aliexpress. Its around 35USD thats excluding shipping. China postal isn't very reliable so the free option is a no -o, the other is the DHL/UPS etc. costing another 24USD. :(

Guess I will have to live without keyboard lights for now lol.
