It seems that the feature has completely disappeared with the new AMD driver update. I can't even go into MSI Afterburner to do it. My GPU is maxed out at 700 for Core clock and 1000 for Memory Clock.
Is it just happening to me, or can no one else overclock?

I would recommended drive sweeping and installing the complete driver package from scratch not separate components. -
-
how do I do a drive sweeping? -
just use AMD gpu clock tool for the 5870 cards
always works even without overdrive unlocked -
darkwonders Real good guide here for drive sweeping (AKA clean install)

see How to Setup (thanks to steviejones133) in the first post
Note this can be used for any version of CCC ..
You should also update the VBIOS if you want to use the newer versions of CCC without problems -
If you want to use CCC Overdrive you need the latest Vbios .93.
However you should be ok using unofficial utilities such as Afterburner, GPU clock tool etc so yes sweep and remove the device software so that you are rolled back to a Standard VGA Adaptor and then hit it up with 11.12. -
i thought we agreed that Overdrive is broken and doesn't downclock properly the memory
so don't just mention Overdrive until it will be working like it should -
-
Ok Thanks guys! I shall try that and let you know how it works.

i am quoting Chastity
also Hellcry noticed this too
on the other side @tila provided working video that his vbios downclock with overdrive properly
i don't know about yours but mine doesn't work and that's why i use AMD gpu clock tool -
Ah now I think about it back in the day I followed @Tilla's advice and modded the modded OD2 Vbios myself again switching the clocks in order to get them to drop to 100/150 automatically...
I am damned if I can find that post again as that was a longggg time ago, I seem to remember we all doubting him then I risked trying it and it worked -
yeah exactly
hmm it is buried somewhere or even deleted
but his video still is on youtube
video here -
That is the one
worth fiddling with if you are happy with the flashing risk.
As a responsible 3000th post, I do not recommend it -
that post must be special
i flashed a lot modded vbioses back in those days
thanks god i didn't bricked it
i am pretty sutisfied with my 70/100 baterry clock -
The vBIOS will change clocks accordingly, but if the AC values are diferent, you'll notice screen flicker when the values change. This is why I keep the memory clocks in OD2 the same on AC power. Overdrive does the same.
G73JH No longer can overclock?
