It seems that the feature has completely disappeared with the new AMD driver update. I can't even go into MSI Afterburner to do it. My GPU is maxed out at 700 for Core clock and 1000 for Memory Clock.

Is it just happening to me, or can no one else overclock?

Do you have the latest Vbios .93 OD flashed? Or could you overclock before updating recent drivers?

I would recommended drive sweeping and installing the complete driver package from scratch not separate components.

Yiddo is spot on, just wondering are you using 12.1 preview?

My vbios is 8.92, so that would be a no. And I was able to OC up until recently, so I figured it must be the new drivers.

I'm using 11.12, which is the latest official AMD version.

how do I do a drive sweeping?

just use AMD gpu clock tool for the 5870 cards
always works even without overdrive unlocked

If you want to use CCC Overdrive you need the latest Vbios .93.

However you should be ok using unofficial utilities such as Afterburner, GPU clock tool etc so yes sweep and remove the device software so that you are rolled back to a Standard VGA Adaptor and then hit it up with 11.12.

i thought we agreed that Overdrive is broken and doesn't downclock properly the memory :D
so don't just mention Overdrive until it will be working like it should :p

The clocks downclocked perfectly fine on mine? If you have the OD2 Vbios and setup your P4G or battery profiles to switch the Ati power managment down your clocks should drop to 100/150, mine did on my JH.

i remember a lot of users who reported this problem and i was one of them too

    i am quoting Chastity
and she also confirmed in another thread the same but i couldn't find it
    also Hellcry noticed this too

on the other side @tila provided working video that his vbios downclock with overdrive properly

i don't know about yours but mine doesn't work and that's why i use AMD gpu clock tool

Ah now I think about it back in the day I followed @Tilla's advice and modded the modded OD2 Vbios myself again switching the clocks in order to get them to drop to 100/150 automatically...

I am damned if I can find that post again as that was a longggg time ago, I seem to remember we all doubting him then I risked trying it and it worked :)

That is the one :) worth fiddling with if you are happy with the flashing risk.

As a responsible 3000th post, I do not recommend it ;)

The vBIOS will change clocks accordingly, but if the AC values are diferent, you'll notice screen flicker when the values change. This is why I keep the memory clocks in OD2 the same on AC power. Overdrive does the same.
