I've had my G73jh for about 2 years, fixed most bugs, did a fresh wipe install and updated BIOS and all that, but one problem, not within the Laptop itself.
My power brick for my G73JH appears to not be working properly, after I turn it off for about 10 hours I turn it back on to play some games, then my power brick randomly shuts off (Green light not on and not receiving power) while its plugged in to my outlet and laptop. At first it only happened every 2 hours or so, then it got faster and faster now it won't go 30 seconds without shutting off and its even being plugged in the outlet, sometimes I plug it in and it won't turn on at all.
I have no idea what the problem is, I've tried narrowing it down by leaving all the cords parrallel too see if it was a problem, and that didn't work.
Is there any problems with the power brick for the Asus G73jh? A fix to this? Do they tend to overheat and break?
    Any help would be appreciated.

Also sorry for the repost, I posted in the wrong section and I don't know how to delete my post.

Certainly sounds like a mechanical failure within the block. I'd buy a replacement on eBay.

I concur if it is not cable or fuse related and is random its probably going to be the brick. The only other thing it could be is thermal shutdown as that will have the exact same symptoms and will shut down to protect damage to the hardware, different games different loads different temps would answer why it is random.

Run some games with HWINFO sensors in the background just to be sure you have no temps near 100oC.

This was a common thing with the MEM(IO) on the 5870M.

If your temps are fine replace the brick.

Sounds familiar. I think I am on my 4th brick now.
