I bought this laptop for $150 used (I know right) He was selling it becasue

    1. The Headphone jack was "not working" - Driver issue

    2. One of the Fn keys were not working -Driver issue

    3. The computer was overheating - Reapplied Thermal paste - took 30 minutes, runs BF3 load at 50c

But he didn't know that they were all fixable.

But the problem I am having is that the powersupply is 150 watts, FSP Group. But when ever I play a game on high performance, the screen flickers with Ac mode and Battery mode. At the same time, the light on the powerbar keeps switching on and off and making an aweful noise when you put your ear against it. Is the powerbar defective? The powerpin is not moving at all, infact when I was trying to move it around, the whole laptop was moving

I can play games at Battery saving mode, lowest settings, but I really want high performance on so I can run my games 50+ fps :(. Barely getting 30.

    I just ordered a Targus 180W powersupply..

Yeah, a new PSU is your best bet -- it definitely sounds like the old one was defective. The channel of electricity was not getting through properly.

Yes if reducing the load fixes the issue then that means the connector is fine, so the 180W should see you ok.
