    Hi, I just ordered this laptop recently and was wondering if anyone that owned it could tell me the refresh rate on this most wonderful notebook?

    There is no point to it since HD5870M doesn't support stereo 3D right now, and even then who actually wants to game with those goofy glasses? Overall detail and quality also drops significantly.

    60Hz it is and i'm very happy with that.. i don't know how i'd game with those 3D nerd glasses.

    Well 120hz just feels better in general, especially in FPS. Since LCDs dont refresh like a CRT, you wont notice it being that much smoother like as if going from 60hz to 120hz on a CRT would.

    But the feeling of the game, and your inputs would overall feel smoother. This all has nothing to do with 3d. Now with that said, 120hz LCD computer monitors are barely available as it is. So I wouldnt expect to see it in that many laptops.
