Im having an issue with the touchpad , when using it , it sometimes stops and i have to lift my finger off the touchpad and then touch it again and continue. sometimes i cant find it and im moving my finger around and then the pointer starts flashing the big locator circle as though i pressed control, then it starts working.I have tried changing ever kind of setting, but nothing makes this touchpad feel and work right and i dont like having to use the mouse all the time.

does anyone else have issues with the touchpad?

I also notice that it sometimes doesnt always sense a quick tap (to place the cursor in a text box)

This really sucks cause i really enjoy gaming on this thing but if i cant fix this issue im afraid i will have to get rid of it, I've never had a laptop with such a screwed up touchpad

Today i discovered that if i apply a tiny amount of pressure on either side of my touchpad (not on the touchpad, just outside the lines ) it will stop my mouse from moving while im using it. Does this mean it is defective and thats why my mouse has issues?

This should be a feature that helps avoid accidental cursor movements when typing. When you type, your hands may lightly brush over the sides of the touchpad which can move the cursor. This feature can usually be disabled in your mouse properties.
