For those of you trying to get the Vbios .93 for the Asus G73 JH but cannot get a link for it.

This file is the original unmodded version. It contains the HP boot utility as well.

Gary's guide on how to install is located here.

It is recommended you use Bios 211 before installing this.
It is also recommended to do a checksum test before flashing.

    You the man Yiddo!

Thank you so much for taking the time to post this info.

I used the EZflash utility to bring my BIOS up to 213. (surprisingly easy)

I used the files in your post to update my Vbios.

I uninstalled everything ATI. Booted in safe, ran driver sweeper, ran crap cleaner on registry, rebooted.

Installed CCC 11.12. \o/ Success! I am so happy.

I think part of my problem finding a solution in these forums was the huge amount of information here compiled into some very long threads, compile that with me not having much experience searching and navigating a big forum like this and... well, let's just say I spent quite a bit of time scrolling through posts. Some dead links for downloads didn't help either. =)

    Thanks again. Take care.

    woot woot G73 lookin sweet

Ah man great news nice to see people cruise through BIOS updates no matter how scary they are its like Christmas when they go through successfully as once they are done they are done....hold on a minute it is Christmas :D

Merry Christmas! (if you celebrate it) ;)

Nothing, this is the official Asus fix, Chastity's od2 has lower battery clocks and overdrive enabled. It's up to you to choose which one you want to use.

This is an unmodded version so it doesn't have overdrive enabled right? Where can I get one with overdrive enabled?
On Chasity's driver page link to his vBios is dead.

Please guys, I've just bought 920XM and OC'ed it, also repasted GPU so wanna try to OC it aswell :)

There you go, this the od_2 version i have. I don't remember if it has the utilities you need to flash though. If do doesn'T contain ATIFlash, you can get it from the v93 zip.

I'd like to flash the modded vbios but I won't do it if I'm not sure I'm doing it right. Tijo or anyone else, can anyone tell me what to do with the other file in Tijo's attachment? I was planning on using Gary's standard vbios flash download and switching out the vflash program with the one in Tijo's od2.bat, but there is another file called fix_od2.rom that I have no idea what to do with.

First create the bootable flash drive, copy ATIFlash to the bootable drive and copy the od2 and fix_od2.rom files in the attachment i uploaded. Once all three files ar eon the flash drive, restart and boot from the flash drive. Then all you have to do is type od2 and let it do the rest. I highly recommend you do this while plugged in and with the battery in case there is a power failure. fix_od2.rom is the vbios file, od2 contains the command lines to do the flash so you don't have to type them in manually.

Thanks for re-hosting this yall, my primary HDD had a mechanical failure and I was lost reconstructing the updates on the new SSD with links being mostly dead in the ROG thread.

Here's to the next three years.
