Every time I boot my G73JH my wallpaper gets reset to a particular one in the Architecture Windows Pack. Regardless of which wallpaper I choose, this happens every time I boot. Any ideas on what could be causing this issue?

Power4Gear causes this. There are two fixes. Either remove Power4Gear and use Windows 7's built-in power management or upgrade to the latest version of Power4Gear on the Asus support site. Either fixes the problem.

It's annoying isn't it? That little problem had me pulling my hair out.

Well, this is embarrassing.... I can't find the download link for Power4Gear in the Asus support site. Any chance you know where to look?

Diegovar - I've had the same problem. Go to "Personalization", click on Desktop Background. Where it says "Picture Location" make sure your wallpaper is the only image in the folder. In other words, create a folder for your wallpaper. Select it, go back to "Personalization" and click "Save theme." After you name it, checkmark it. If there are any other themes under the "My Themes" tab, right click on top of them (try clicking in different places, the delete function sometimes doesn't pop up for some reason) and remove them. Hope this helps!

That site is sooo bad for updating your laptop. The software utilities don't show up under your model.

Anyway, in the search box on the main Asus support page where you are supposed to type in a model, type P4GHybrid. That will pull it up.

I'll try both suggestions and report back. The saving a theme section of PhnX's post makes sense.

The Asus Support site has to be one of the most poorly designed and unusable sites I've seen in a while. I looked at the page source code and my eyes started bleeding. It's a disgusting mess of tables scattered all over.

    lol :D

They're too busy dealing with all the RMAs they get for giving a 2 year warranty to put time into their websites ;)
