anybody got this game to work properly? currently running on stock drivers. whenever i launch the game the screen goes black when attempting to change resolution then flashes back to windows with an error screen (blackbox).

if you got it to work please dont forget to mention which version of cat drivers youre using.

    much aprreciated :)

vBios first then 10.8 drivers... It really is super easy if you just move slow, follow the directions, and just run the .bat file that is included.

May not FIX the problem right out since the game is so new and already report of issues on both sides. (Nvidia/ATI).

Still you will get better results with the 10.8 drivers than those ancient 9.12's.

Is anyone experiencing issues with the newly released Amnesia: Dark Descent on G73J's? It seems that due to something involving the Asus drivers and open GL, the launcher won't even run. I've made an extensive post about it over at the frictional games forum, which I will link to below. I've found at least 3 people with the same problem on the same notebook. If anyone has any ideas as to a possible fix, or would like any other information regarding my setup please shoot me a private message. Thanks.

Amnesia Launcher Will Not Execute Properly

My vBios and drivers are up to date, and I still can't seem to get Amnesia to run. The launcher doesn't seem to boot whatsoever. I'm pretty sure the issue isn't relevant to the video drivers whatsoever. Hopefully someone can figure out a fix soon.

I'm having trouble getting Amnesia: Dark Descent to run. The launcher for the game just doesn't seem to execute properly. The task runs for a few seconds, and then just ends itself. I've made a post about it on the frictional games forum.

Amnesia Launcher Will Not Execute Properly

I have not tried updating my vBios, but I can't see it being relevant to this. I have no other issues with my computer, so I'm hesitant to flash a bios for something that probably won't solve the problem. My only thought is that the issue could be related to Amnesia's openGL. If anyone has experienced this problem, or has an idea as to a fix let me know. I'm willing to flash the bios if someone is entirely sure it will fix the issue. Thanks in advance.
