    hi,

    I have a small problem.
i decided to upgrade my stock artheos ar5b95, better late then never :p

I started with the intel 6300, and then the problems started.
I get tons of packet loss (its looks like this, i have a perfect ping but every few seconds the game stuck and jump back) while playing online games, and it was freaking me out, switched back to the stock good, everything works perfectly.
i thought to myself, ok maybe the card is damaged, maybe its the third antenna, lets replace it.
i returned the card, and this time i bought intel 6235,
today, excited to check the new card, i discovered again, the packet loss is back.

i tried in 20mhz, 40 mhz, switch channels, reinstall drivers..

any idea's? am i missing something? help!! :p

    thanks

    tamir

Check to see if there is a firmware update for your wireless router. It may have been caught and fixed by them.

You could try the killer-N 1202.

replacing again is my last option.

i came across a software called "WLAN Optimizer" which improve significantly my situation, and the lags are almost gone.
it disables the "background scan" and enabling "streaming mode".

maybe someone can explain to me what is this software doing?

Where did you get the software, it's probably best to read its page to figure out what is going on.

Do you have a retail card or a developers (engineering) card?
Some developer cards are real ty for daily use, my first one was also one. In the end I had to replace it with a retail one.

There are some fakes out there with pretty convincing stickers on them.
