    G73JH battery at home

    when im at home should i take my battery out while using it or leave the battery in with the notebook plugged in?

    If you very rarely use the battery, then you might want to consider draining it to 40%, removing it, storing it in a zip-lock bag, and put it in the fridge. This will prolong the life. But if you use the battery, even once every week or two, then you should probably just leave it in. The G73 has protections against over-wear on the battery.

    Also bad things happen everyday and it would suck if you had no battery in it and it was on, you had just finished some work not saved it and the cat jumped landed on the cord jerking out the plug and blam no power laptop shut down work lost. True story.

    That's one of the main reasons why I don't keep my battery out. The power goes out here every other week it seems.
