I got my G73JH about a month ago from Newegg. Had no problems up until about a week ago when the battery seemed to have died. Says "plugged in, not charging. Consider replacing battery."

Has anybody else had sudden battery problems? Would be nice to be able to fix it rather than dealing with ASUS, since I'm currently overseas in England.

if you're above like 95% battery, it'll say plugged in, not charging.

Windows will only say consider replacing the battery if your wear level reaches a certain point if I remember correctly. Check HWMonitor to see what your battery's wear level is.

Yeah, it says 0% available. Laptop dies when the adapter is unplugged.

Try to leave the laptop off but plugged in for a couple hours... My G50vt did the same thing... Left it plugged in & off for awhile (couple hours) and everything worked again... I'm guessing the battery just needs a kick off charge??? before you can turn if on and charge from 0%.... Try it, worth a shot.
