I've had it 10 months or so, sent it for service and repasting the GPU. Its worked fine for about a month and today it won't boot. I press the start button, the lights come on for about 2 seconds and then off. No HD activity, no fans, nothing. I tried it on battery, plugged in, and removed the battery and tried it plugged in. Is there a keyboard combination or something to try? I just can't think of what it could be. Last thing I did was play Fallout last night. I shut it down properly and unplugged it.
    Thanks for any input.

Take out the ram chips and re-seat them. If that doesn't work trying removing two of them and running on 4GB. You're just trying to narrow down the issue. Make sure no usb drives or accessories are connected.

    Cheers,

Thanks for the quick reply. I tried reseating the 3 accessable the ram, then tried with 2 left out. Still the same.

Sounds like a dead motherboard to me. I had the same issue with mine.

Try changing the order. If it's not the ram is most likely the motherboard or some other RMA worthy component.

    Cheers,

Typically when your computer acts like that it points to defective RAM, RAM that is not seated properly, a CPU that is unlocked or disloged, or a dead motherboard. Any chance that you had a large power surge? Unfortunately you might be in for another RMA.

Thanks for the help guys, no recent power surge that I know of. The RMA process was fairly easy last time, so no worries. Now if I can find all that paperwork....
