    Hi can anyone tell me the intel chipset thats in my G73JH laptop so i can go to intel site and see if i have new drivers for my laptop thanks :D

    Additionally, you almost never need to update your chipset drivers. If you do, you need to "force" an update, because intel won't even let you replace them by simply running the driver package.

    Indeed.

    Any chipset drivers come from the operating system. For example, Microsoft provides Intel's chipset drivers (and updates) with the OS. The chipset INF updates may effect which of those drivers are used, but the INF update is NOT the drivers.
