    Greetings,

This is my first post here but I am a long time reader and have owned for the past year an Asus G73JH I bought from newegg. Have taken it all over the world (one Airport guard thought it was a TV haha) and it has served me pretty well. About a month ago I dropped it taking it too my car so I called in the Asus ADP and sent it in. IT came back in pretty good condition (albeit some dents still left unrepaired).

When I started it up the computer display seemed odd. Washed out colors and some pixelizing but oddly in only some areas or certain windows.I popped in Blade runner final cut HD to see how it handled an HD movie. Oddly it looked fine, just like before i sent it in. Then i switch to a reguler def movie and the color wash out came back. Blue circular hues especially on white colors or faces and skin. The best way to describe it is when you were a id holding a magnet up to an old television. Circles of color around some areas. I am almost certain this is a software problem or I would have sent it back in 4 days ago when I picked it up. Also it is like looking at a flat screen from an extreme sideview. You know where it washes out in blue. Not as bad but similar. I have done all the driver stuff and Was hoping for some advice. Sorry about the long post. If you need more details just ask. IT's my first post so I am unsure about the etiquette.

Are you using Splendid on the system?

Both windows look the same, they are both off on color. On the bottom of all 3 flowers is a sort of black pixelization. The tops of the flowers look fine (orange and yellow)

Sorry I was not clear, do both windows in splendid say 'NORMAL' it the upper left corner?
Does pressing the gamma button, or vivid or theater help?
IF none of that helps, try removing Splendid, and using the tools built into windows to correct the issue (As I learned from Chastity)
    Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Display

Yes they both say normal, but they sure do not look normal. I will try removing Splendid and using windows to correct it. But any other advice would also be helpful.

Remove Splendid, and then run the Color Calibration Wizard under Display in the Control Panel. It's pretty easy, and offers superior results.
