    my g73 has just 1 hard drive. if I use another one, does it have to be identical like RAM or can it be any drive that fits? does it need the same RPM or SATA number?

    As long as it's the appropriate dimensions, then it will work no problem.

    Anything 2.5'' have been known to fit, even the WD ones w/ the extra thickness (reported by some people who got the drives).

    even rams doesn't need to be identical :D

    They don't, but its better to have the same brand and model for highest compatibility.

    ... except it's more likely that you'll have problems from a broken chip than cross-chip compatability.

    if i add a second hard drive, can it only be for storage? if i install games on it, it needs to have windows right? or can you run games and stuff from a second hard drive?

    Yes it can :) you can install games/video on it and play them just fine
