I have been playing SCII on this laptop since its release with no issues until recently. I have been getting random crashes more and more. I have the latest video, bios, chipset, DX, etc etc. Everything is up to date and it seems like the hardware is just failing more and more consistently. ANyone else experiencing this?

I got it... GSOD, just read about them. ANy solution that doesnt involve flashing a custom bios and risking to brick my lappy?

Yeah, go for it. There's a "kit" somewhere with a variety of vbioses - so if you flash a vbios that fails, you can just flash a different one that works.

a vBios flash is like a bios flash - if it fails, you won't notice until the next time you restart and it doesn't work. Once the computer is started, the bios doesn't get "used" until it gets started again.

So if you fail, it won't crash and die immediately. And if you've got a few of the various vbios mods on the same USB key, you can just try flashing one of those.

Went ahead and did the Vflash via USB boot. Everything went ok and I will report back on if this solves my issues...
