    Hi,

Not so long ago I purchased a G73JH and have been using it quite successfully until recently, when I started to have cursor problems.

What happens is that when using the touch pad, the arrow cursor suddenly changes to a crosshair icon, and when moving my finger across the touchpad, the icon stays put and will not move. Sometimes the screen zooms in or out, depending on the direction my finger moves in, other times nothing happens at all. This is really annoying, as it happens about 75% of the time I use the touch pad, and it's driving me up the wall.

It has only started recently, and I can't find an answer to it.

Has anyone any idea as to what is going on, and how to get the arrow cursor to stay an arrow cursor.

    Thanks.

    Ron

It is most likely going to be a synaptics option at a guess it is probably two finger scrolling. On the JH with its touchpad issues I highly recommend just switching the extra features off apart from the vertical scrolling on the right hand side if you need it.

Go into the mouse control panel and select the synaptics driver option and in there will be the different options you can turn on and off. There are quite a few I think sticky zoom was a knightmare too.
